With a highly integrated, interdisciplinary undergraduate curriculum that builds on the core concepts and philosophy that define 21st-century liberal arts and sciences education, Duke Kunshan University is bringing a unique model of global higher education to China. As an education innovator, Duke Kunshan University understands the importance of attracting the right students. The fall 2019 cohort will be our second group of undergraduate students – a group that will be special not only in terms of its global diversity but also in terms of its contribution to the future development and success of the overall academic program. We are focused on finding students that exhibit the key qualities on which this school is founded; namely, the ability to think critically, creatively, and globally. Our primary mission, after all, is to provide the highest quality undergraduate education and student experience, thus enabling our students from around the world to lead purposeful, productive, and meaningful lives. To attract the highest caliber students, we are offering generous scholarship and financial aid packages to ensure that top-tier candidates from around the world will get the opportunity to study with us. Many of our enrolled undergraduate students will receive scholarship and financial aid support. Scholarships are awarded for the entirety of the 4-year program, on the condition that all academic requirements are met. The highest amount awarded will provide funds to cover a full-tuition scholarship for the duration of the 4-year program.
Need-based financial aid is reserved for students with strong academic records, yet with a proven lack of financial resources to cover tuition payments. We are seeking a globally diverse cohort of students and encourage all academically qualified students to apply, irrespective of their family financial situation. Interested applicants will need to provide documentation to prove that their current financial situation is a direct barrier to affording Duke Kunshan’s tuition fees. When applying to Duke Kunshan via the Common Application website, applicants must indicate a “yes” in the financial aid interest box in order to be considered for need-based financial aid. The CSS code for Duke Kunshan University is 7059.
