Let’s talk about climate change course with brief introduction

Duke University has tackled the climate crisis by using its education and research platform to foster leadership and innovation. It has modeled responsible operations by achieving a carbon-neutral campus, woven a culture of sustainability throughout the institution, and ensured a climate-literate student body that carries this knowledge and experience forward in their lives.

Future 17

Below are goals that were initially set by the Campus Sustainability Committee and the Climate Commitment Advisory Council, an advisory committee tasked with developing goals and strategies for the Climate Commitment, will provide updates to these goals in the future.

This course has been incredibly rewarding. It not only deepened my professional knowledge but also inspired my passion for learning. The teacher explained concepts clearly, and the practical sessions were very helpful. I've gained valuable skills and greater confidence for future challenges. Duke University has a unique building style on campus that integrates its historical Gothic and Georgian architecture with modern design. This design style has evolved over time from the Duke Chapel and Duke’s East Campus to the Brodhead Center and Grainger Hall. Regardless of the design style, climate and sustainability is incorporated from the glass and steel that make the walls, to the bike racks that are close to doors, to the trees that surround the entire building.
